Track Name: I am the Stain
I am the stain, you are the shirt. I am the cleaner and you are the dirt. We passed each other by in that bar the other night. You were looking down on me and I was looking down on you. I never slept tighter than in the feathers of your bed. With your arm wrapped around me like a sweet and a deathly trap. We passed each other by on the street the other day. You were looking down on me and I was looking down on you.
Track Name: Your Brother's Teeth
I stepped out on the street and oh, what did I have to see? Your head lay on the pavement and your eyes stared up at me. What pain I had to feel the day I learned that you were dead, the pain would stay with me until I took myself to bed, I took myself to bed. I woke up in the morning and oh, what did I have to hear? Your wailing mother on the floor and that ringing in my ear. What pain I had to feel the day I learned that you were dead, the pain would stay with me until I took myself to bed, I took myself to bed. Your brother's teeth were sharp and thin, blood dripping from his chin, he tried to get me just like you but I ran away from him. What pain I had to feel the day I learned that you were dead, the pain would stay with me until I took myself to bed, I took myself to bed. Your brother's teeth were sharp and thin, blood dripping from his chin and had I known that it was yours I would've killed him there and then. What pain I had to feel the day I learned that you were dead, the pain would stay with me until I took myself to bed, I took myself to bed.
Track Name: In My Mind
You live inside your mind but windows and doors you cannot find. What could have been an alley was a path, what should have been a friend turned out a farce. In my mind. A farce in my mind. I've been looking for a fight. I'm looking for it day and night. Well, I know the sky you know the land, I'm a rover you're the well respected man. In your mind. A man in your mind. And I wish you said: I will not let you down, I will always stick around. And I wish you said: I will not let you down, I will always stick around.
Track Name: Laces of Your Shoes
I didn't have time to talk, so down by the lake you sat to contemplate. When up through the water came a giant coal black tongue and though you must have struggled it must have pulled you down. And all that was left were the laces of your shoes, there's no-one to tell how those laces came loose. I never used to sit by that lake and I still don't, that's why I never see the bubbles rising that must carry your thoughts. All that was left were the laces of your shoes. Your hair must be waving in the water and you must be dead. My hair is still dry and I am alive.
Track Name: Pretty Mouth
Pretty mouth will say the words I long to hear. Wakeful eye will see the thing I can never see. But it's not so easy. Healthy foot on solid ground can push my heavy limbs. Steady hand I know your palm come touch my shaking bones. Clever head be put to it and read my vacant mind. Simple soul and pounding heart come fill this hollow chest of mine. But it's not so easy, it's not so easy. Easy. Not easy at all, not easy at all. Not easy at all.
